Choosing the Mumbai local:- A journey of independence

"This meant it was finally time for me to start riding the infamous Mumbai local. The days leading up to my first journey were filled with nervousness, excitement, joy, and fears – a mixture of feelings.

One part of me felt really happy about the independence I was going to achieve, while another part was filled with nervousness for the journey ahead. The first day as I made my way to the platform, I was overwhelmed by the crowds that stood waiting for the train.

I mean, is there any way all those people could fit inside the train? Turns out I was wrong. I was shocked at how many people could fit in one carriage. My first train journey was filled with excitement and was, overall, a very positive experience.

I was able to witness and pass by many scenes of the city while listening to my favorite music. It was enthralling to see people with diverse backgrounds and stories getting on the train. It gave me an enriching feeling.

And I quickly fell in love with the train. Yes, there are hardships, and there's a bit of discomfort that comes with the journey. And yes, there's a lot we need to do to improve Mumbai's train system. However, choosing the train over a stuffy vehicle is something I would do."
